Hello Everybody!
When I originally started this blog it's main focus was spreading awareness for a disease that I suffer from, known as IBS. Then it slowly transformed from that to blog featuring recipes that were Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free. From that point it then went to a lifestyle blog, about makeup, product reviews, and my life in general. Recently I have decided to start over, I have deleted the original posts. I have decided to change the blog once again to reflect the changes I have made in my life. So instead of making it one of the above choices, it's going to be all of the above. This is a lifestyle blog, product reviews, and recipes.
Recently I have started a weight loss journey, and I know a lot of people struggle with that on a daily basis, I was one of them. So I want this to be a platform for me to share what's been working for me, what hasn't, and what things I want to try. If it can benefit someone else that is all that matters to me.
In true Kayla fashion this cannot just be an 'introduction' to my blog post, it has to be about something. So, when I started this journey I was weighing in at 245.8lbs. I hated myself, my body, and everyone who enabled me to continue to do this to myself. One day I just had a breaking point and decided that I needed to change. I needed to do something about this, before I hit a point where I couldn't do anything about it. Being twenty-two, and only five foot and three inches tall I looked like a little ball. I have been going to the gym as often as I can, shooting for five days a week, limited my soda intake (because I am having the hardest time giving it up!), increasing my water intake, and trying to eat better.
These photos were taken six weeks apart, and I know it doesn't look like a huge change, but to me it's everything. The first photo my weight was 245.8 pounds, and the second photo my weight was 219.7 pounds. I am proud of myself, and I am only going to keep going.
I've had many hiccups along the way, and many moments where I thought it would be so much easier to give up than keep going. But before those moments I had made the choice to do this for me.
I hope this motivates you to do something for yourself and check back in for recipes, reviews, and updates!
